Working in Public Accounting

Annual dues (May 1-April 30): $475

  • A Certified Public Accountant licensed in any jurisdiction of the United States.

Working in Business & Industry

Annual dues (May 1-April 30): $429

  • A Certified Public Accountant licensed in any jurisdiction of the United States.

Associate Member

Annual dues (May 1-April 30): $369

  • Any person not qualified to be a Fellow who (i) is in the employ of or supervised by a Fellow, or (ii) owns an equity interest in an entity practicing public accountancy whose other partners, shareholders and/or members include a Fellow
  • A teacher or professor regularly engaged in the teaching of accounting as a faculty member of a degree granting institution
  • An employee of a federal, state or local governmental unit engaged in accounting, auditing or taxation
  • An individual regularly engaged as a corporate finance professional
  • An individual professionally engaged in accounting, finance, auditing, taxation, advisory, assurance, risk management, compliance, financial reporting, controllership, data analytics, or related disciplines
  • Any person who holds a valid professional certification in an accounting or finance-related profession in a foreign country
  • Any person who has passed the Uniform CPA Examination, is sitting for the exam or is enrolled in a CPA exam review course offering a discount to Society members

Recent Graduate

Annual dues (May 1-April 30): $219

  • To qualify for Recent Graduate Membership, you must qualify for Associate Membership and be 27 years old or younger. Please see the Associate Member qualifications to determine your eligibility.

Educator

Annual dues (May 1-April 30): $219

  • A teacher or professor whose primary role is the teaching of accounting as a faculty member of a degree granting institution.

New England Incoming Member

  • A current Fellow or Associate member of the Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont Society of CPAs

If you are not a current member of one of these societies, please complete a Fellow or Associate membership application.

If you are a current MassCPAs member, your membership automatically transferred to NECPAs and no application is necessary.

Student Membership* 

NECPAs participates in a free dual membership program with the AICPA for High School and College Student Membership. Click the link below for more information and to fill out the AICPA and NECPAs' dual membership application. 

To qualify for High School Student Membership, you must be:

  • Attending a high school in New England
  • Interested in learning more about the accounting profession

To qualify for College Student Membership, you must be an accounting/business undergraduate or graduate student who is:

  • Attending a college or university in New England, or
  • Attending an out-of-state college or university with a permanent address in New England

High School Student Members will need to update membership upon graduation. College Student Membership will expire once you become eligible for an Associate or Fellow Membership. 

*To comply with Society bylaws and to avoid misrepresentation, you must always refer to yourself as a "Student Member" of the New England Society of CPAs until you become an Associate or Fellow Member.
